Kate Middleton was spotted for the first time in over two months since undergoing abdominal surgery

For the first time in more than two months following her stomach surgery, Kate Middleton was spotted.

On Monday, the 42-year-old Princess of Wales was spotted by her mother Carole Middleton driving close to Windsor Castle while seated in the passenger seat of a black Audi SUV.

Kate, who had her hair down and was sporting dark sunglasses, sought to blend in during the outing.

Kate Middleton was spotted for the first time in over two months since undergoing abdominal surgery.

Her mother, however, was staring straight ahead with a carefree expression.

It appeared that the mother and daughter were the only ones in the car, even though it's unclear where they were going.

Since Dec. 25, 2023, when she, Prince William, and their three kids dressed in blue ensembles for a Christmas morning gathering at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Norfolk, England, Kate has not been pictured in public.

On January 16, 2024, Kensington Palace said that Kate had undergone a "planned abdominal surgery" less than a month later.

A statement posted to Instagram on January 17 said, "The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery."
She would be "unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter," which falls on March 31 this year, according to the statement.

But late last week, when Prince William skipped a memorial service for the late King Constantine II of Greece due to unspecified "personal reasons," talk regarding Kate's whereabouts grew popular.
